Wake Up Tampa

Bold, clean, and modern design.

Project Overview:
Requested by the non-Profit organization Created Women. The Wake Up Tampa campaign was developed to raise awareness about human trafficking and educate the public on how to identify and report suspicious activity. The initiative aimed to empower the Tampa community by providing crucial information on recognizing the signs of trafficking in public spaces and taking appropriate action.

My Role:
As a Graphic Designer & Marketing Developer, I was responsible for creating compelling visual elements to support the campaign’s outreach efforts. My work focused on designing advertisements and brochure handouts that effectively communicated key messages while maintaining a strong, eye-catching aesthetic.

Key Contributions:

  • Advertisement Design: Developed visually striking posters and digital ads for use in public spaces, social media, and community outreach events. These designs featured impactful imagery and concise messaging to engage and inform audiences quickly.
  • Brochure Development: Created informative handouts detailing the warning signs of human trafficking, methods of reporting suspicious activity, and resources for victims and concerned citizens. The brochures were designed to be clear, accessible, and easy to distribute across high-traffic areas.
  • Branding & Consistency: Ensured all materials aligned with the campaign’s theme, using a cohesive color palette, typography, and design elements that reinforced the urgency and importance of the issue.
  • Community Engagement Support: Assisted in tailoring materials for distribution in key locations such as transit stations, local businesses, and community centers to maximize outreach.

Impact:
The campaign successfully heightened public awareness about human trafficking in Tampa, providing residents with the knowledge and tools to recognize and report potential cases. By utilizing strategic design and impactful messaging, the Wake Up Tampa campaign contributed to a broader effort to combat human trafficking and support victim advocacy.
